Returns, Replacements & Refunds

At Sooper Brains, we don’t just sell toys — we build machines. That means our first step is always to support, guide and fix — not replace blindly.

The Support First Promise

If a component (like a motor or gear system) is faulty, we don’t just swap the whole kit — we help you fix the machine. Because that’s part of the engineering journey.

✅ If a Part is Faulty on Arrival

Faulty components: If a specific part (motor, remote PCB, battery box or gear assembly) is found to be defective on arrival, we provide a free part replacement within 4–5 days.

Why? Replacing a part instead of the whole kit reduces waste and teaches your child how to troubleshoot and maintain their machine — just like a real engineer.

Before You Assemble

Every Sooper Brains™ kit is a build-it-yourself STEM kit. Before you start building, please:

  • Open and check all components immediately on delivery.
  • Verify that every part listed in the manual is present.
  • Contact our support team before you begin assembling if anything is missing or damaged.

No Return After Assembly

Once a kit has been fully or partially assembled, it is not eligible for return or refund. Assembly permanently changes the condition of the kit, which makes it unsuitable for resale and prevents us from carrying out quality verification. Faulty parts are always covered under the Support First Promise above.

❌ Product Integrity Guidelines

To keep our kits premium and hygienic for every child, we cannot accept returns for products that show signs of “life at home.”

A return is not eligible if the kit shows:

  • Surface contamination: visible oil stains, food spills or residue on the wood
  • Personal branding: scribbles, pen markings, paint or “art additions”
  • Physical damage: deep scratches from sharp objects or rough handling
  • Hygiene / usage: dirt build-up or grime from repeated use with unclean hands

We take pride in our precision laser-cut MDF — once used or marked, a kit cannot be resold or reused safely.

7-Day Return Policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

✅ To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in the same condition as received
  • Unused, unbuilt and unworn
  • In its original packaging
  • With receipt or proof of purchase

Return Process

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label, plus instructions on how and where to send your package.

Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, you must raise a request within 7 days of delivery. Please share:

  • Clear photos or videos of the product
  • Photos of the outer packaging

After verification, we will issue a free replacement or process a full refund. All return shipping charges for defective items are covered by us.

Returns for Other Reasons (Change of Mind)

If you are not satisfied for non-damage reasons, you may return the product within 7 days.

Conditions:

  • Product must be unused and unbuilt
  • Original packaging intact
  • Subject to inspection

A standard ₹200 return-courier charge applies. Alternatively, you may self-ship the product to our warehouse at your own expense.

Please note: change-of-mind returns cannot be accepted once assembly has begun, or where the Product Integrity Guidelines above apply.

Refunds

Once your returned product is received and inspected:

  • You will receive an approval confirmation
  • Your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days

Refund method:

  • Prepaid orders → refunded to the original payment method
  • COD orders → refunded by bank transfer

Processing time may vary depending on your bank.

Exchanges

We replace items only if they are defective or damaged. Exchange requests must be raised within 7 days through the Return Prime page.

  • Exchange shipping: free
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability

Our Commitment

We are committed to delivering high-quality, safe and genuinely fun STEM kits. If an issue is caused by a manufacturing defect or by damage during shipping, we will resolve it promptly and fairly, in line with this policy.

By purchasing and assembling a Sooper Brains™ DIY kit, you acknowledge and agree to this Returns, Replacements & Refunds policy.
